Richard Steiff

From his first design in 1902, Richard Steiff continued to develop the design year after year until he created the teddy bear he called "perfect" in 1905. In gray, with a soft, friendly face and innovative metal disc joints, a method so effective it is still used today. The original 1905 Teddy bear lives in the Steiff Museum. This constantly improved teddy bear by Richard Steiff is pleased to join a series of iconic characters made from alternative materials. It bears the 1897 company logo inset.
